SkillBridge Liberia is committed to maintaining professional and safe participation environments for all individuals engaged in its activities.
We enforce zero tolerance for:
- Abuse in any form, including physical, emotional, or verbal abuse.
- Harassment, including sexual harassment and intimidation.
- Exploitation, coercion, or misuse of authority.
- Discrimination based on gender, age, disability, religion, ethnicity, or social status.
2. Scope
This policy applies across all SkillBridge Liberia engagements and interfaces, including:
- Core staff and temporary staff supporting project operations.
- Visiting trainers, facilitators, and technical experts.
- Implementation partners and affiliated service providers.
- Participants involved in training, coaching, or validation activities.
3. Reporting Mechanisms
Concerns can be raised through confidential channels that support timely and responsible escalation.
- Reports may be submitted privately to designated management representatives.
- All concerns are escalated to appropriate management level for assessment.
- Retaliation against any person reporting in good faith is prohibited.
Safeguarding concerns are handled with confidentiality safeguards and process integrity.
4. Training Environment Standards
All delivery settings are expected to maintain the following baseline standards:
- Professional conduct by trainers, supervisors, and participants.
- Respectful communication and a non-hostile learning environment.
- Gender-responsive participation practices and equitable engagement opportunities.
- Protection protocols for minors where program context includes participants under 18.
5. Investigation & Response
Reported incidents are reviewed promptly. Fact-based documentation is maintained and handled through controlled channels.
- Initial review and triage are conducted without delay.
- Incident records are documented and stored securely.
- Corrective action is implemented where violations are established.
6. Alignment
SkillBridge Liberia aligns safeguarding practice with international donor safeguarding expectations and relevant Liberian legal frameworks.
This policy is applied as an operational minimum standard for institutional engagements and partner collaboration.
